Zilli Hospitality Group has been in the spotlight all over the country, from Wisconsin to L.A. Made up of the best of the best from 20 countries worldwide, the International Caterers Association (ICA), named Zilli Hospitality a finalist for Caterer of the Year at the 2014 CATIE awards. Being a finalist for this prestigious award means a lot to us because CATIEs are bestowed by our peers in the catering industry. The awards ceremony was held in Las Vegas in late March. It really is true what they say on the red carpet – it’s an honor just to be nominated.
Zilli Hospitality Group president Ellen Zilli has been getting a lot of attention lately. In late January, she was featured in an article in the Milwaukee Business Journal that highlighted her long career, the growth of the company, and its newest venture as the exclusive caterer at Boerner Botanical Gardens. It also told about her continued day-to-day involvement with the operations of the company.
In February it was announced by Governor Scott Walker, Lieutenant Governor Rebecca Kleefisch, and the Wisconsin Women’s Council that Ellen was among the recipients of the 2014 Governor’s Trailblazer Awards for Women in Business, which recognizes women pioneers in the business community. Award recipients were honored in a ceremony at the State Capitol on April 9, 2014, followed by a Trailblazer Luncheon. The Governor’s Office said, “Our 2014 Trailblazers bring leadership and lasting economic benefits to communities across our state, providing jobs and promoting innovation.” Yay, Ellen!
