Charles Allis Art Museum
Charles Allis and his wife, Sarah, commissioned prominent Milwaukee Architect Alexander Eschwhile to design this building in 1911. The Tudor-style mansion contains the Allis’ private art collection as well as showcasing different pieces from Wisconsin artists each year. This unique location is one of a few places preserved in their original state. It acts as an elegant, historical setting for your next wedding or event and can be rented out for either a half or full day.
The Charles Allis Art Museum houses several collections, including Bruno Ertz’s realistic watercolor paintings of butterflies in Mrs. Allis’ Bedroom, the 19th century paintings by students of the Hudson River School in the Library and the variety of French art in the aptly named French Parlor. This differentiated and distinguished assortment of art adds to the sophistication and intrigue of the museum.

Gorgeous venue! We have gotten so many compliments from all of our guests. Even my husband’s 94 year old grandmother is still raving about Villa Terrace. Abby was very accommodating from the beginning and was willing to work with us. Everything was fantastic and we are so very grateful to her and the rest of the crew at Villa Terrace for helping to make our day the best day of our lives! My husband and I would highly recommend getting married here at this beautiful and one of a kind venue!

Villa Terrace was amazing! We had our daughters ceremony and wedding there! We lucked out on weather!!! Sept. 9th 6pm ceremony and reception to follow! Beautiful night! We ordered heaters a few days before since most of our guest would be sitting out on the deck eating after 8pm. We added hanging lights above too! The staff was very nice and Robyn was very helpful and always available with last minute questions. It was a fairy-tail wedding!
