Milwaukee County Historical Society
With gilded carvings, grand columns, an intricate chandelier and a wide-tiled floor, the stunning interior of the Milwaukee County Historical Society renovated venue is the ideal place to host any upscale corporate event or wedding. Originally constructed in 1913, this venue retains its old-world charm while still having all of the benefits of modern technology. Sure to impress your guests, this space will captivate them as they enjoy Zilli’s excellent cuisine.
A renovated bank, the Milwaukee County Historical Society has ornate décor, breathtaking marble columns and panels. As it was originally a functional bank, there is a large vault door at one end of the space, a unique feature to captivate guests and a fun, interesting ‘prop’ for pictures. Its memorable and distinctive interior was used in the 2009 film Public Enemies, a testament to the glamour of this venue.

We had no problems whatsoever and got so many compliments from our guests about how beautiful our venue was. We loved the bank vault and the vintage feel of the building. So little decoration required a natural beauty!

The Milwaukee County Historical Society was an absolutely perfect venue for our wedding. The moment that we saw it, we knew that it would help us create the wedding of our dreams. We especially loved the historic bank vaults as well as the Love and MKE signs. The built in decor was so unique that we had to bring very few of our own decorations.

The Historical Society was an awesome wedding venue and I highly recommend it!!! My 7/29/2017 wedding was about 110 people and the space was perfect. The downtown location was super convenient and the management was easy to work with
