Milwaukee County War Memorial Center
Located next to the striking Milwaukee Art Museum and on the shores of Lake Michigan, the Milwaukee County War Memorial Center is a breathtaking venue with modern sophistication. Fitch Plaza, their outdoor venue, is one of the most sought-after outside wedding spots in Milwaukee, and their indoor space Memorial Hall, has the same simple elegance. Both venue spaces provide breathtaking views of the lake and city for large groups of guests easily taken care of by Zilli.
The building was built and designed in 1967 by Finnish-American architect Eero Saarinen, who also designed the St. Louis Gateway Arch, Dulles International Airport and John F. Kennedy Airport in Washington, D.C. This venue has the same classic, American prestige, and the dignity of the building radiates throughout, complimenting corporate events and weddings held here.

As mentioned previously, Fitch Plaza is an incredibly desirable wedding ceremony space. With unparalleled views of Lake Michigan and the Milwaukee Art Museum, it isn’t hard to understand why.
Memorial Hall, also breathtaking, has a modern design and an upscale environment. The floor-to-ceiling wall of windows gives an incredible view of the city, and the waving structure of the ceiling makes the room feel vast and spacious.

The ceremony view was incredible, prices were competitive and Jennifer was amazing! We booked the venue having only seen mock-ups of the planned Memorial Hall renovations but felt like the work that was actually done to the hall far exceeded our expectations. It’s been a month since our wedding and our guests are still talking about how beautiful the ceremony and how the reception hall looked

nice city and lake views. We were worried the ballroom carpet was a little dated, but when all the tables, dance floor, decorations, and lighting was added, the ballroom looked as nice as any other venue and didn’t feel too large or too cramped. The layout provides a nice flow for Band/DJ/Guest Tables/Bar area. After the ceremony the Art museum and the city views provided great backdrops for night photos. Pick the war memorial, rain or shine you won’t regret it.

We definitely picked the War Memorial for the stunning view of the lake, but we’re so pleased that she was a part of the package! We loved all of our pictures and are so thankful the War Memorial was a part of our special day!
